A missionary from Ivanovo worked at the orphanage Ilya was in - Shuya School Orphanage. He now does work with EE students working in the US in the summer near Dollywood....and he has a FB presence. I noticed that one of HIS FB friends was a young man named Dmitri, who had "Shuya School Orphanage" as his place of work. I friended him, and he remembers Ilya!
We've chatted here and there a time or two, and today - lo and behold! A most precious gift! Photos of Ilya from before we adopted him. No adoptive mother could be more grateful for anything!

That is a plain awesome gift... not only for you but for your future grandchildren, who will have kid pics of their dad.
Such a precious gift! Our host child recently got pictures from her early childhood (and she shared them with me to keep the safe - awwww) and it is so special seeing them so little. And I guess since Ilya doesn't really like having his photo taken it makes them even more special! I am so happy for you!
Amazing!!! We just got a gift like this, too! One of Nastia's schoolmates from 4th grade sent their school picture! WHAT a joy to have it!! So happy for you. I know firsthand how precious these gifts are...better than gold.
