PROJECT 52, TWENTY-THREE

Maxim deserves a long update but it will be long, and I haven't had it in me....  However, he is back at his Independent Living home, and he's running track - really, really well.  This four-by-four is his best event.  His team scored quite high in the state meet.

Funny you post it just now... Last night I was just thinking about Maxim. :)

Wow, that is one muscle-y kid! Yes, I was wondering too. Look forward to the promised update, but hoping it is somewhat hopeful...

Looks like he's also been body building.

Sorry that it didn't work out with the minister and his family.

Wow, that kid is ripped, RIPPED!

Too bad about the other family. Maybe a residential placement will work out better for him. Much less expectation for bonding with people.

OH - I see that didn't make sense. The minister's family IS an "Independent Living Home" which simply means that instead of the family getting a check from foster care, they tell the child THEY are getting the money and make THEM give it to the family. Makes the state feel they are "preparing them for adulthood".

HUH???? THAT IS AWFUL!!! Isn't the minister supposed to be an adoptive placement? Oh, I think I am really confused now. Anyway, he is born to be an athlete, that's for sure.
